praying for mass destruction and death
by Cognitive_Dissident inso i was writing a paper the other day, specifically about the skewed world view that i had had as a witness, and i typed the following - .
pain, misery, strife, these were all things that used to prove to me that jehovah's witnesses were correct in their assessment of a dying world which was soon to be liberated/obliterated by the hand of god.
this "liberation" was something that i desperately longed for.

As a kid I used to pray for the “new system’s” arrival. Not realizing it at the time I was indeed praying for mass murder via the natural disaster tactics that Jehovah was planning to use to bring about the cleansing of the world. It kind of reminds me of the Tool song Ænema. Not my favorite from them but here’s some of the lyrics: Cuz I'm praying for rain And I'm praying for tidal waves

Windows can be installed in a clerestory application. This places the windows high enough in the wall to let light and air in without giving up security or privacy. I also know for a fact that other churches of various denominations all use windows in their construction. The cost of glass and commercial aluminum is not too much more than other available building materials.
I would like to know if any one out there knows anything about the procedure for Kingdom Hall design development and why there is such a diffencey in window usage. I can understand the concerns regarding vandalism but I think that security reasons are bogus. Seriously, what would anyone want to possibly steal from a Kingdom Hall?

I’ve attended meetings at a handful of Kingdom Hall’s in my day. I would venture a guess of approximately five or six. I’ve also driven by many more. One thing that I’ve noticed is that none have any significant number of windows if they even have any at all.
I would like to know the reasoning behind the decision to keep the rank and file under the oppressive glow of florescent light fixtures in lieu of allowing them to refresh them selves with the natural light that Jehovah created for their benefit. What are your thoughts on this matter? Is it a way to cut down on construction costs or does it go deeper than that? Is it a conspiracy by Governing Body to limit distractions from the outside world? If your local Kingdom Hall had windows, how would that have impacted your service to Jehovah?

Yikes! That's a pretty scary illustration. This is the kind of picture that I would zone out on for an hour instead of paying attention to the study article.
I see where your going with this line of questioning. Your probably right. Jehovah is destroying the Buick because at the time of attack it was occupied by several Governing Body members. LOL

Were there any professionals in your congregation?

i was just wondering if you had any doctors, lawyers, pyschologists, psychiatrists, engineers or any highly educated ones in your congregation?

The closest we had to a professional at my KH was an elder who owned a small vending machine business. He was probably the most well to do in the congregation. He had a big house and drove a Mercedes. But you know what, the guy wasn't even that smart. He could barely read and I always got a kick out of hearing him read the articles or scripture. He inherited the business from his old man so I can't even say that he was a savvy businessman.
